I agree, my father lives in KY, a republican state, however he rarely discusses politics except with me, he just gets up and votes. Heck he doesn't even have TV or take the paper just the local morning news on the radio.

I agree with the sleeping giant theory the polls are not the end all the state by state is

Whew, it was a bad couple of days, even a whole week, with the only redeeming moment being Cheney's performance in the debate.

The media is in a full-court press to get their guy back on top, and events are handing them plenty of ammo... it started out with the Senators Lugar, McCain and Hagel dropping the bomb on the administration, then Bremer comes along and he should know anything he says will be spun against Bush and now this CIA WMD report, which is not particularly damning, and even supportive of the war effort, but is being spun like a top against Bush. Now we've got Kerry saying that when he wins Bush will be handing him a Lebanon scenario and fully getting away with it even though that @$$hat couldn't wipe his own...

It's been a tough Thursday for the believers in the bunch, but we're holding steady.

Here's a thought. I knew after the RNC that the Bush surge was premature and it looked like a long time to hold on until election day, and it has proven to be so. We know these things ebb and flow with the tide, especially wishy washy "undecided" voters. I wonder how they ever even choose a pair of drawers to wear.

The fact that our guy is ebbing is OK, let Kerry get all puffed up and then watch the pendulum swing. About the end of October we'll see that pendulum stopping right where it belogs, damn the media, damn the talking-heads and damn the torpedoes...

Kerry will be painted for what he really is, I don't have to tell this crowd, you all know, but soon he will be a very unpalatable choice, even for the most vascilating undecided. Kerry is an unsavory person, and trust me, it will show.

So hang in there troops, life is about adversity and we sure as hell aint quitters...

I am not near as pessimistic as some of the posters in this thread, but I do agree that it is time that Bush take the gloves off. He seems to pussyfoot around worrying that he will "offend" someone and then in the meantime his opponents and their surrogates just keep going for the knock-out punch.

I think that Bush is going to have to expose the French and the Russians role in subverting our efforts in Iraq, in a national forum. It's just too big a piece of the puzzle to not mention it. He can then deftly tie Kerry in with France and Russia. Too bad if they don't like it... they aren't our friends anyway. He will have to expose all the cowards and traitors for who they are.

I have a hunch that GW is not going to disappoint us tomorrow.

Something else to keep in mind. Kerry has given his best since the first debate, as have the liberal media and the best they've been able to do is budge the polls a couple of points. I think Kerry has peaked. He has nothing else dealing with Iraq that he can throw at Bush and is getting is calling a sitting president a liar on a daily basis now. I don't think this will sit well with the majority of the country and it will backfire on him bigtime. Ohio prefers to go Republican and I think they will, and Florida is really starting to look like it'll go to Bush much more easily this year, Oregon, PA, Michigan, Iowa, New Mexico and Minnisota all went to Gore in 2000 and all of them are virtually a dead heat. Michigan and Oregon in particular are very strong Democratic state and they are still in the running.

I don't think people want to elect Kerry. The internals just don't show people think all that much of him and realize what sort of smear campaign he's putting on. In the end when they step in the booth I think they'll vote for Bush.

Arnold, Rudy, McCain, Dole and even Zell Miller have to get out in those swing states and hit the stump. Zell Miller is a pit bull, lead him in the right direction and whatever he gets hold of, that good ol boy ain't gonna let shake loose.

Come on, isn't this an easy call?

If the RNC can't look at the convention and see the tremendous momentum coming out of that is due to those guys, then they're pretty stupid. And I don't think they are.

The A team guys got the bounce in August, now get them out in those key states and let's get some good stuff going on. The local press will cover Rudy, McCain and all coming into town.

Bush and Cheney are big boys, but hey, we're talking about the Republican Party here.

Sometimes I feel the people on this board are doing more than Rudy, McCain, Dole and Arnold.

Send Arnold to Florida, they'll love the guy. If he tells em the Blow Dry Boys are girlie men, those Floridians will get it.
