Why not print out the inportant work of Navy Chief and put it in

time order and "fake awards" order and fax them like 30 pages at

a time to our Congressmen/women and Senators from now until the

Election , non stop until they come out and have a news confrence and

disscuss the facts, pro and con. . They are tone def. one I have done

this with , the "little high schooler's that answer the phone" will not

EVEN READ THE "ITS A SMALL WORLD PART"

THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TIME.

AND WE PAY THEM AND THIS IS IT.

I'm afraid that this will have just the opposite of the effect that you'd like it to have, aj.

When writing to Congressmen/women, you pretty much have to limit yourself to one point, MAYBE two if you can fit everything onto a half-page.

It has to have a grabber title and opening line, two or three lines of thesis, two or three lines of supporting material and a real punch for a close.

And that's just about it - that's all the time you get to make your case with a Senator - perhaps three or four lines more if you're writing to a Representative.

It has to hold their attention and cannot contain obscure facts that require supportive documentation.

If you can get across your main points and let them know that you have a lot more information on this topic, then you're doing well. IF you're lucky, you may be asked for further input.

Usually, after you've written or called, all they want is your money, though. They think they know everything or that their staffers know everything.

Just watch one of the committees in session about something like internet spyware or spam, one of these days - they're hilarious in their ignorance. Wink

Yeah, and having a check attached doesn't hurt in getting their attention either.

It did wonders for Liu Chaoying* when she wrote to Kerry back in 1996.

Of course, her check was a measly $300,000, but you get the idea.

* - do a google on "Liu Chaoying" and Kerry and see what turns up.

LOL! Probably true, as well!

Yeah, Kerry's connections have fingers into a variety of communist dictatorships, hm?

Anything you mail to Congress is opened and read by staffers long before the member of Congress even sees it. Chances are, they'd never even see anything we sent that may contradict their already held views.
