Put down the pipe - This means crack pipe. I am being called a druggie. Ever thought about lithium - This is an anti-psychotic - I was being called crazy.
Lastly, I am not delusional.
Still, noone has responed to my assertion and documentation that Karl Rove and George Bush trashed McCain's character in SC by using unethical push-polling, filled with lies and innuendo about a good man. This was after having their butts kicked in NH. That "win at all costs" mentality and complete lack of respect and ethical responsibility is why McCain cannot stand them and one more reason I think they are scum. |

Also, even way before the invent of the 'crack' pipe, it meant to 'put down the war and/or peace pipe'! This goes back over 130 years to when there were problems between the US and the 'native Americans', and the native American tribes in the west would smoke a peace and/or war pipe depending on if they were going to war or in peace with themselves and/or other tribes.

INDIAN CALUMET: The Pipe of Peace
By Christopher Nyerges
Quote: | Among the many North American Indian tribes, the use of the pipe was considered a sacred ritual. The smoking mixture consisted of various herbs, often tobacco mixed with willow bark, sumac leaves, certain manzanita leaves, cedar shavings, or white sage. Although some tribes at times smoked for relaxation and/or a narcotic effect, most did not normally inhale the smoke. Rather, they used the pipe as a major means of communication with the spiritual world. Erroneously designated as the "peace pipe" by numerous reporters, the pipe was actually used in the ratification of all solemn engagements, both of war and peace. |
Nice try kyleparr, but that comment did not mean that you were a druggie.

I'm responding.
According to your links, that's exactly what the Bush campaign did. Disgusting.
Of course, John McCain went on to co-author the greatest anti-first-amendement legislation since the Sedition Act. Appalling.
Who's character were we discussing, anyway? I though this site was about Sen. John Kerry? _________________ Bye bye, Boston Straggler! |

"It is because McCain is not loyal to REPUBLICANS and CORPORATIONS, but AMERICA."
........
*ahem*
Charles Keating.
And I have to laugh out loud at the "not loyal to corporations". What a freakin' joke, right?
Name ONE politician who doesn't take in hundreds of thousands of dollars from corporate sources. What - John McCain is lily white? Only takes campaign dollars from regular folks, but then he tries to give it back?
And again I say, "Charles Keating". |

Isn't it amazing how many democrats love McCain? What shocks me is how fast "Jumping Jim" Jeffords got tossed under the bus - Why didn't he get a VP nod? _________________ ________________

you asked for it, you got it.

...........
Laughable.
I invite anyone and everyone reading this to go visit these sites which, according to Kyleparr, "prove" that then-candidate Bush's campaign used push polls.
The first link: What's the source of THEIR information? What is this, "I read it on the internet, so it must be true" ?
The second link: CBSNews. Credible, right? And yet their story relies on the statement of a 14-year old boy in South Carolina. I don't about you, but if I'm campaigning or conducting a legitimate poll, I'm not about to waste my time interviewing people that aren't even old enough to vote.
Secondly, the allegations of push-polling have never been proved, and even in the CBS article, it talks about how the interviews were part of a 20-minute process. 20 minutes to conduct a poll? Excuse me while I laugh.
The 3rd link: Another unknown source, which simply repeats some years-old allegations (the date on this one is more than 3 years and 9 months later, Sept. 2003) and it says the "facts are well known". Are they? If the facts are SO well known, why are these lame websites being called up by Kyle as "evidence"?
The 4th link: This is the funniest one. It cites an accusation about Karl Rove "conducting" a push poll-- in 1996, supposedly on behalf of then-Governor Bush in Texas. The supposed push-poll was geared toward the tobacco settlement, and has nothing to do with the South Carolina GOP primary. What a laugh. And reading into the article, we learn that Rove wasn't even the one conducting the poll, that was done by an outside firm (apparently).
So to recap, the "evidence" brought forth is laughable, at best. |

Call McCains office and ask him. Also, ask him why he had to defend himself against the accusation that he had an illegitimate black child.
Lastly, the tobacco incedent goes to history. Karl Rove is a sleaze bag. |
