Surely this has been mentioned, I have trouble finding these things sometimes. If so, please lock or move, thanks.

Ad shown following Ohio State game today of woman speaking who's husband died in Vietnam, shows pictures of her husband, pics of Kerry and how greatly disappointed her husband would be to know how Kerry's/his service is being treated. Closes with Kerry copying name off Vietnam memorial.

First I've seen it, is it running in Ohio and swing states only? Strange that it has such a similar appearance to the new P.O.W ad.

Kimberly,
Was the ad from one of the POW wives you have seen before?

Now I'm even more upset. I was watching the Ohio State game up until the referee blew the fumble call and gave possession to Wisconsin. I turned it over to the Tennessee/Georgia game. Wish I would have kept it on ABC to see the ad.

Just saw ad, it is about Doz or whoever was Kerry's friend that got killed that I read about. Didn't see who did commercial. She said Kerry is telling the truth then and he is telling the truth now and that her husband was on the swift boats with Kerry and he would turn over in his grave to see how Kerry is being treated.

This would be the wife of Donald Droz and mother of Tracy Droz Tragos.

................................... ...................................

In the year 2002, Tracy put together a deeply emotional documentary film
about her search for information about her father that had been kept from
her by her mother and other family members: Be Good, Smile Pretty

Descriptions of the engagement in which Don Droz was killed may be found
at the following web pages: Silvermace II and Death of PCF-43

Judy Droz Keyes (she remarried) became active in the anti-war movement after
the death of her husband. There was a post on this forum indicating that she
would be highlighted in attack ads being put together by Kerry's campaign.

If you have a chance to see Tracey's film, I think you will be surprised at the
attitude of Judy Droz Keyes, her current husband, and Don's brother toward
the loss of their relative. Every time I view the film, I want to throw something
at the screen when these people discuss Don with his daughter. But you can
make up your own mind if or when you see the film.

All Swifties have nothing but the greatest sympathy for the ALL of the family
members of Don Droz and the other sailors that gave everything so long ago.
And this is especially true of Tracy Droz Tragos who had to wait so long and
work so hard to find out the facts about her father as a person and the bravery
he exhibited in the action in which he paid the ultimate price in defense of this
country.

But it is my humble opinion that this is all part of a counter attack by the Kerry
forces to play on the sympathy of the American public to discredit the Swift Vets
and deflect attention away from the specific issues of Kerry's dispicable conduct
during and after his short tour in the Vietnam conflict.

A related "curious appearance" of an article concerning the same engagement,
which attempts to put Admiral Hoffmann in a bad light, can be found in this topic
thread on this forum: Coast Guard Admiral Bad Mouths the SwiftVets Leader

Things will probably get rougher and muddier during the next four weeks.

But I still have confidence that the TRUTH WILL PREVAIL

.

That would be her. It's aired at least 4 times tonight on my local abc 6 newscenter in Columbus. It's paid for by Kerry/Edwards 2004. She talks about how her husband would be so upset about how Kerry is being talked about in this light. That Kerry had character to stand up for what he believed in. Yadayadayada. And that he was a true heroe.

Judy Droz is also a vice chair in the Kerry Campaign as a top fundraiser. She also is a California Veteran State Coordinator for the Kerry Campaign.

Don also talked about how hard it was to be in a situation where no one knew what was around the next bend or what the "rules" were or who was friend and who was foe. He told me he was convinced that what the United States was doing in Vietnam was pointless or worse and that, when he got home, he intended to speak out against it. But he was clear - and I have always understood - that he was criticizing the war itself and those who were deciding how to wage it, not those who were putting their lives on the line to do their duty honestly and bravely.

Those who had the courage to fight in Vietnam and, when they returned home, to tell of the reality of what they saw deserve our admiration. I am certain my husband would have been as appalled as I am at the spectacle of some veterans questioning others' service.
