Military Rejects Kerry by Staggering Margin

By a staggering margin of 4 to 1, U.S. military personnel have rejected the presidential candidacy of Sen. John Kerry, a new survey by Army Times magazine shows.

With 4,000 full-time and part-time troops responding, a full 73 percent said they would vote for President Bush if the election were held today, reports USA Today, a sister publication of Army Times.

Just 18 percent said they would vote for Kerry, who has based his candidacy on the four months he spent as a Swift Boat commander in Vietnam 35 years ago.

Two-thirds of those responding said John Kerry's anti-war activities after he returned from the war, when he teamed up with "Hanoi Jane" Fonda and trashed his fellow soldiers as "war criminals" and "monsters," made them less likely to vote for him.

The survey was conducted Sept. 15-28 by the Army Times Publishing Co., which sent e-mails to more than 31,000 subscribers. The magazine received 4,165 responses on a secure Web site.

BTW. Just dawned on me, we see a lot of Bush bumper stickers around here with a ton of Yellow Ribbons in support of the troops. But what you never see are Kerry stickers and Yellow Ribbons on the same car. Kind of like no American flags at the democrat convention.

Even those too young to remember Viet Nam and the Anti-war movement that went with it can see a poor excuse for a commander when they see one. Kerry's anti-war, anti-military record has taken it's toll. He is just not popular with those who believe freedom has its price.

Unfortunately, a lot of Americans are soft, and have no stomach for a fight. These people believe that freedom itself is free. Most of them are backing him. If Kerry is elected, it will lasting and grave consequences for all of us, in my opinion. America will lose respect, not gain it.

Americans will not be able to go to certain parts of the world for fear of being taken hostage, tortured or beheaded. I fear Kerry would respond the same way Clinton did, bombing at three in the morning so no one would get hurt, or worse he would respond like Carter did, that is, do nothing and hope for the best. After cutting the Armed Forces to nothing more than homeland defense, the military option would be off the table completely. How else could an anti-war activist respond?

I even suspect Kerry voted against body armor so casualties would increase, making the American public call for an end to the war, just like Viet Nam. Then he could get elected by promising to stop the "needless slaughter" of American boys in an "immoral war."

I can tell you three military people voting for Kerry for sure. One is a teacher, so that pretty much sums up that---spend tens of thousands on every kid's education because they are so "precious" and "disadvantaged" and more money will make their problems go away. The other lives overseas in a socialist country, where anybody gets everything without working for nothing. The third, a lawyer. NEED I SAY MORE!!!!!!!!!

Here's a follow up. Today I overheard the teacher warrant say that people couldn't really blame the PLO for suicide bombs against Israel because after all, the Israelis were building that wall on their territory and what other choice did they (Palestinians) have. This is the same officer who made me take down a small photo of Bush (you know the one on a dollar bill about 911) because it could be considered political.

Tomorrow I'm putting up my big photo of Bush and writing Commander In Chief on it, after all it is then "military" related.

With this poll, Kerry should campaign with our troops in IRAQ. Or perhaps on a USO tour, much like Leno, Letterman, or Dailey Show.
I'd pay to see that one.

Off topic, Aussie PM John Howard was re-elected to 4th? term in Australia, despite Kerry's daughter campaigning for his liberal opponent. This is a huge win for Aussies AND the US and war on teror!
