How about buys in some of the Baseball playoff Markets, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals area or the Minnesota Twins coverage area? Are the Swiftboat ads targeted to markets based on viewers watching sporting events? I know for a fact that St. Louis is much more excited about their baseball team right now than about the fact that the debate is being held there tomorrow evening!...Hope someone asks John Kerry a baseball question during the debate! _________________ "Lord...Who may live on your holy hill? Those ads would cost a TON!!! Also, for some reason I think that they won't be having single or small market commercials during such a major event. SBVT would probably have to buy ads space for the entire country, and the would cost $$$. (and when you think about the level of toxins in many of the people watching the game, it might not be too effective).
That being said, GO SOX!!! _________________ "I already don't miss it," he said of Washington. Asked to elaborate, he replied: "You know that great feeling you get when you stop banging your head against a wall?" |

That would be great; but, unfortunately, I'm sure the cost is prohibitive. Also, I don't believe MLB games carry political ads, but I'm not sure. |

The Republicans or a 527 should buy ads on ESPN or during college football games about the truth behind the "Draft" if Bush is reelected. I talked with some college kids tonight and sure enough, the polls are right, they have been led to believe there will be a draft if Bush is reelected. They don't know anything about the vote which took place this past week. Both ESPN and college football have a lot of 18-? male viewers and a good place to clear the record once and for all.
Then maybe they need to advertise it during Oprah and Dr. Phil for the mothers who believe that nonsence. |

Buying ads is a fairly sophisticated process. It may not be rocket science, but there is far more involved than you might think. Your favorite show is usually not a good place to put your ads. Events (such as championship sports) are very bad buys. There is a premium and there is very low consistancy in terms of audience.
There are constant trade offs that must be made regardless of your media budget.
Without question, this is an area that is best left to SVPTs very capable experts. _________________ Whose side is John Kerry really on? Take this quiz and decide for yourself.

Put up a fundraising bat and let's buy 100 spots during the MLB playoff games. _________________ Share the passion: http://www.MLSnet.com |
