Nikki Finke broke it on the radio, details on DrudgeReport.com, as usual.

He was a class act, above and beyond the politics of his particular situation. My condolences to his family. He'll always *be* Superman to me.

God bless his family and surround them with his love.

There's a man who held his dignity and still did wonders for those around him without giving up.

Didn't I hear Kerry the other night in the debate "drop" his name when it came to stem cell research? How dare he.

What will be a pity is how Kerry will use this poor man's death for his attack on President Bush. I have no doubt he could stoop that low.
For Mr. Reeve's family, I pray I'm wrong.

The latest Readers Digest has a whole section devoted to him and from it, all appeared to be going just fine for him. Sad news to hear this.

He and his family are in the thoughts and prayers of me and my family. Even paralyzed as he was, he still much good for all.

Foxnews is now reporting it as confirmed;

Christopher Reeve

God bless you, Superman, and thanks for the memories - you will be remembered. I loved the Superman movies and Somewhere in Time, and his movies have been enjoyed by millions and the Superman movies will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Reeve showed great courage and determination in life, and may he rest in peace. And may God bless his family - his wife, Dana, and his children. I did not agree with his politics, but he was a man of great courage and personal strength and the love story between he and his wife was inspiring and touching. May God bless and comfort his family at this time.

Shamefully, the Dems will no doubt try to use this for political gain in the stem cell debate, but it will not work. Superman belonged to all of us, and any attempt to exploit his death will backfire. I thought a caller on Drudge said it best - it was Reeve's love of life that was so very inspiring - it is that same love and respect for life that inspires us to protect the life of the embryo.

Once again, may God bless and comfort his family, and God speed, Superman. Sad

Debbie

It has now been confirmed by the AP - he died of heart failure.

God bless you, Superman - may you walk with the angels.

Oh, what a courageous man he was!

I'll have to go hunker down with "Somewhere in Time," now - his best movie ever - and remember how good he was, what an inspiration he was.

How sad to have this happen when he seemed to be doing so well. Sad
