I find it interesting in an interview this morning with doctors of Christopher Reeve that Katie Couric said that Christopher Reeve's single mindeness and determination was courageous (he's also a hero). However, when the same is said of Pres George Bush its a bad thing.
Please, don't misunderstand me. I believe that Christopher Reeve did some wonderful things and showed us that being paralyzed doesn't have to be a death sentence.
Guaranteed, Kerry will invoke his name at the debate on Wednesday. _________________ God Bless our service men and women!

First words out of my husband's mouth, right after I told him about Mr. Reeves passing was "Watch Kerry turn Christopher Reeves into a martyr" |

My husbands exact words also! It is not hard to figure out what that fools next move will be. And guess what his opening statements in New Mexico were, at a speech he was to make about our energy situation," my deepest sympathies to the Reeves family".
I did not hear any sympathies to the family of the 41year old baseball player that tragically died of a heart attack today, or any sympathies to the families of Janet Leigh or Rodney Dangerfield.
Like he is thinks we are so stupid we do not notice. Mr. Kerry you are TRANSPARENT |

I feel very sad for the family also...
however, I do not consider Reeves a 'hero' !
If Kerry brings up Reeves non stop, that might just put me over the edge - and I'll have to email his campaign ! _________________ Stevie

Like Minds!
I was thinking about how Kerry could take advantage of this last night. wondering how much spin Kerry will apply to blame President Bush for Reeve dying. Of course, there'll be the reference to Stem Cell Research, and how Bush opposes it. Taking it further, he'll likely say that if Bush had been an advocate of the research, Reeve would still be alive. Surprising? Nah! After all, the liberal whiners blamed the wave of hurricanes to hit Florida on Bush. Saying that he failed to address global warming... |

Undoubtedly the dems will use Reeve's death to push politics.
Exhibit A : Paul Wellstone's memorial service. |
