Its clear the entire Kerry strategy is to continue to deflect the issues until after the campaign....and which point they will say it does not matter the voters have spoken.

FWIW the best Ads remain when Veterans speak directly to the audience...the others are good...but the power comes not from old clips...but from testimony of the Vets

I was waiting for O'Neil to say Kerry got out of the last two years of his service. At least Bush served the minimum required for his last two years. Kerry just skipped it. But otherwise a good job.

This guy had no clue that he hadn't released his records? Yeh right!, He looked totally stupid. Trying to compare not finishing guard service with meeting with the enemy and telling lies. Nice touch about purple heart. I know he didn't have much time, but it would have been nice to have more out there. But way to John. I'm not a vet but I am so proud that I have gotten to know you guys from reading all these posts and being part of the help. My husband and I have always said that the Vietnam vets got the shaft all around. We have always tried to donate anything to them. Let's hope that after 30 years they can finally get to say what no one would let them.

It was great to see the Swiftees get a fair hearing. John was as super as always. If I ever need a lawyer, I want John! We need more fair interviews like this. Buchanan kept that idiot from changing subject too much. Smile

John was terrific. Smith could only comment on Bush's 3 month's with NO proof. Wonder what he wuld say after Kerry's 3 1/2 years.
John O'Neill is John O'neill. John kicked Glenn Smith kister with the truth.
Glen Smith couldn't sy a damn thing to save Kerry. The truth hurts and Kerry is bleeding.

John also got in a note about Kerry having 5 deferments, ending with wanting to study in Paris; about his photo in Vietnam as a hero; about "gaming the 1st purple heart;" and so much more...

The Texan kept hammering about Bush's "missing yr in Ala." -- but O'Neill said at the end, that if he was trying to have moral equivalence with a "missing yr in Ala." and a man who met with the enemy in Paris, and etc, that he was "barking up the wrong tree!" Very Happy

I cant believe Smith said "watch your grammar" to Pat Buchanon.

Mr. O'Neill put just about everything out there: Meeting with the enemy in Paris, signing 180, showed the book, Kerry's deferments, clarified 1st purple heart with respect to Letson & how Kerry fradulently obtained it, multiple use of Kerry's "Ho Chi Minh was the George Washington", war atrocities, even something about delayed discharge. Mr. O'Neill put it all out there and did a terrific job!

Texas Vets for Truth (how original, how false) is headed by this guy Glenn Smith. His ads have been running in Phoenix for a week or two. Plainly he comes from the McCaulif/Carville school of public medacity Medvid earlier today was able to get from him that 1) he was not a Vet, and 2) his funding was from Moveon.org (surprise,surprise).

Glenn says he was born in '53 so Viet Nam was never a consideration for him. Funny, I was born in '53 and well remember my lottery number. 265 meant I had to enlist. Five years active, four years Sea Service thank you.

Medvid (always pro-Swiftie) was merciless but as is his style invited other koolaid drinkers to call in and add to the lunacy.

Over the years Buchanan has given us some gems: Silent Majority & Nattering Nabobs of Negativism but has become a loose cannon. Tonight I toast him. He kept climbing over O'neill so he could get at Smith himself. Bravo Zulu, Pat.

My husband and I hope the Swiftvets will continue Kerry's record search and discovery even after the election. He has to be held accountable for what he's done to his fellow Vietnam Veterans. My husband said he looks soft and deserves to be cast in the light the Swiftvets have placed him in.
