Good News from Connecticut!

I was on the phone with my daughter in Connecticut. She went to the polls with her father-in-law a staunch union member Democrat and they both voted for GW. She went on to say that traveling through the highly Democratic, middle of Connecticut shoreline towns of East Haven & Branford they saw floods of Bush/Cheney signs..

It would be nice to see it closer there, than is being called.

Can't agree with the not allowing women to vote part, but, the rest, I'll let pass, because, historically and statistically, you're correct.

I think 9-11 may have done a lot to educate women about things that are more important than social programs - the things that go back to the Constitution, such as "common defense."

Safety and security have become more important to everyone with any common sense than funding swimming pools in Iowa or libraries in Georgia or film fests in California.

Last polls I saw showed women heading for Bush at about the same number as men - just a couple of points behind.

I heard Rush earlier today saying that this National Election POOL
is being conducted by AP and that AP feeds it to the networks.
Considering the kind of bias we have gotten from AP over the past
months, how much can we believe these exit polls. I will not put much
faith in the veracity of this polling, I will wait for the ACTUAL VOTE COUNT.

We need to remember the lessons we've learned from this year's campaign. WE CANNOT TRUST THE MSM OR THE AP TO REPORT ANYTHING ACCURATELY!!! Does anyone doubt that the precincts that they are polling could mostly be in heavily democratic areas? I don't doubt for one second that they would coordinate such a stunt in order to discourage Republicans from voting. Time to dig in deep, we WILL win this election!

is pouring cold water on the Drudge "exit-poll" numbers. Points out that the first round of exit polls in 2000 had Bush tied in Colorado when he ended up winning by 9 points. The numbers appear to be unrepresentative samples, also, with a disproportionate number of women. Aide says he feels "pretty good" about OH and FL, Wisconsin is "close," and Iowa "very good." (Drudge, btw, has some Senate numbers up now, showing Thune, Coburn, and Demint up for the Rs, and Castor and Salazar for the Ds.)

These are the same people who fed us the bogus report about Gore winning FL by 6% in 2000, ten minutes before polls closed in the GOP-heavy Panhandle. Lots of them went home, discouraged, and by conservative estimates, it cost Bush about 8,000 net votes.

If they had stayed and voted, and not listened to the lefty media, Bush would have led FL by about 10,000 votes in the first count, Gore probably wouldn't have tried to sue his way into the White House, and the whole country would have been spared a month of heartache.

Even if Kerry does lead by 20% in a state exit poll, that might be only a few hundred votes! Millions of voters could vote between now and closing time, cancelling them out easily!!! An evening vote counts just as much as a morning vote, so these exit polls should be simply IGNORED!!!

I live in Connecticut, just south of Kerry's Commonwealth of Taxachusetts, and I don't have too many illusions of Bush winning CT, but I threw my vote in there anyway--who knows, the Kerry people might get overconfident and not vote!

Kerry manipulated the US into pulling out of Vietnam, let's not let him and the media manipulate us into conceding this election before it's over!!!
