The first thing Kerry's new crew is going to try to respond to the Swift-Vets in some manner that negates everything....and allows them to not talk about it anymore.

Without Kerry being honest, which is not expected, I just don't know how or what this will look like. But they have to do it, or rather, they have to attempt it.

I believe its important to start talking about the September 12 rally as soon as possible. Its important to talk about it, so as the Media can not just dismiss it.

While the current state of shambles of the Kerry campaign is amazing....this is not time to let up at all. History has show that Candidates in shambles have road out the storms and been able to succeed.

This after all has been Kerrys plan from day one for the Swift Vets, he thought he could ride it out....ride it out to the next media news cycle.

I think O'Neill should challenge O'reilly, because O'reilly beliefs are because he does not want to deal with the entire issue.

I would love to see O'Neill say to O'reilly " I understand Bill that you have personal issues talking about Kerry's conduct in Vietnam, after all you were not there, I understand your issues, but I would simply ask you that you allow Veterans who were peers and contemporaries in the service to address these matters directly with Senator Kerry. The media has failed Vietnam Veterans in the past Bill, and I don't expect you to make up for all of them, but I do ask you help us get a response to the issues we have raised with a man who may become the President of the USA. A man we know who has lied, and may be willing to lie again, and in office. Bill will you help us get some answers?"

That said....I have never seen O'Neill do anything that was anything but brilliant when he is interviewed.

Oh, I would expect it to be something like:

They are a bunch of Alcoholic, Philandering, Wife Beating, Pedophile, Trailer Trash, Liars and Thieves, cowards and deserters, who are all well known Republican operatives in league with Richard Mellon Scaife. These are the same scoundrels behind the 8 year smear campaign against our beloved president Clinton and now they are using their vicious Hitler Brownshirt tactics against John Kerry. It is just ridiculous that any sane human being would even listen to their pack of vicious lies.

I saw Carville on Russert's show Sunday.

He admitted the campaign was in trouble and promissed they'd put it behind them and be back on their game in three days.

He's counting on the SBVT issue going away it seems...and we know that isn't going to happen.

I agree there's a sh*t storm heading our way. ( I'm on your side, as a supporter)

Brace yourselves for Carville. This is going to be rough ride. He is going to call the Swifties every possible name imaginable. Liars, cheats, dishonest, evil, etc. ("Never saw anything like this is mah LIFE!")

Begala will attack in a folksy manner and stab you in the back but Carville will is a pit bull and try to eat your face off.

Someone ought to be putting a PI on him right now and start taking pictures.

You cannot engage him head on when it comes to issues. Issues are the last thing he is going to allow. He throws out canard after canard. You have to take an oblique route to his testicles. You have to get him off balance. Remind him of how wrong he has been and how he helped Gore lose. Make him mad about something else. Stick him personally, because he will make it personal.
