Okay -- read through the thread --- thanks for the laughs
and the tears
Wealthy/Rich only said 5 times --- so forget the $2.00 --- Here is $100.00 -- donated on-line.
My thoughts: I agree with Bill Kristol --- President Bush won on almost every question --- a draw on a couple. President Bush did very well --- his answers on Faith, Gay Marriage, and Abortion were the best, well reasoned -- did not scare the base or the middle.
President Bush also smacked Kerry down on several occasions ---
I noticed that Kerry never actuall provided any answers all of his answers were just observations or declarations -- I saw, I will --- without any substance or details. Or except for the litmus test for judicial appointments.
It is morning, and I am looking forward to today.
I will also state that the answer on faith moved me. I started praying at 8:50 (actually I prayed throught out the day) and that same sense of peace that President Bush mentioned also filled me (saved the TV in my house).
I think President Bush's emphasis on education was correctly placed -- it is obvious that a substantial part of America needs further education --- we need to start with everyone who pulls the lever for Kerry -- they obviously are missing the basic skills in reason, logic, and comprehension.
Also, Bob Schieffer did very well -- his questions were fair, interesting and not overly baiting on either side. I will have to commend him on the job he did -- so much better than Leftie Lehrer, and even better than the town hall. |

For Hanna and others: I went to the contribution section on this board and added $50.00 to my $200.00 pledge for a total of $250.00 because regardless of MSM polls we all know Pres. Bush won. Also, because we let Schieffer know we would be watching he did a credible job. |

The historian Doris Kerns- Goodwin (sp?) said on Imus this morning that she was watching with 10 dems and they all said Bush won on style. Of course they would never admit on substance. She was confused on why the snap pools had Kerry wining.
Assuming polls are not deliberately biased for Kerry. Probable biases in polls:
1. More dems than Rebs watched and pollers only questions those who actually watched.
2. Reps hang up more on pollsters than Dems
3. Reps went to bed after debate and didn't asnwer phone
4. Most people that were up were in California.
5. Reps went on line to Swiftvets.com and tied up their phone lines
Polls would required a lot of adjustments to take into account percent of call answers that fit in different catagories and so forth. something I'm sure is not done on snap polls |

Anybody know if the debate will be replayed today. I screwed up on the audio when I recorded it. (MY old VCR was in "simulcast" mode & I missed it!)
Thanks. _________________ Paul R. |

Missed the debate last night. Was listening to radio late and commentator sounded negative on Bush's performance. Turned on Swiftvets and read entire thread.
Just reading commnents made me feel a lot better and was thourghly entertained. Anything the MSM says is spin. The morning I hear a clip of Bush saying, "Your views are so far left that Kennedy is called the conservative senator from Massachusettes". _________________ What about John Kerry's four months in Vietnam qualify him to be president?
Al Gore was there for five. |

From all that I have heard and seen on TV so far today, it seems that that is exactly what happened. What the hell planet do these idiot so-called journalists live on? What qualifies them to make such judgments in any case, and why should we listen to them? None of them, including some on Fox, have absolutely no credibility with me.

I would assume that the candidates for Pres, VP and perhaps the spouses since they also represent the country - but the adult child?? |
E.D. Hill on Fox and Friends this morning made an interesting comment, to the effect that as a mother, she alone could have the liberty of talking about HER child, but she could not give that same liberty to someone she did not know from Adam. Exactly, and I am sure that you ladies out there who are mothers can perfectly relate to that, as can the fathers.

I, for one, would have loved to see W simply say that, the Senator has a plan for this, a plan for that, til he is blue in the face. A plan is not a litany of complaints (good line there, that he used). To date, the Senator has spoken of numerous plans to solve problems and issues, but he has given absolutely NO details on the what and how of his plans. Nothing. He is an empty suit. Senator, tell us the details of your plan for ------ (fill in the blank) and how exactly you will pay for it and how you will execute it. How can we know exactly WHAT you stand for if you are unwilling or unable to explain it to us???

I had one of those "light bulb" moments this morning. Wonder if it's possible that Kerry's remark about Cheney's daughter was calculated? Now he can go on TV and apologize and have everyone say what a kind, caring man he is. Also would make him come across as having admitted to making a "mistake". _________________ Chance |
