ok, I was gonna say a million dollars.... Very Happy Very Happy
that'd be good also!

but really, I'm looking for some research someone
posted here like a year ago about the statistics of
casualties to those who flew the same
plane Bush did....
and I have NO idea what to search under (here) except 'plane';
duh....

also, I'm looking for the NV communist agenda list. the 7 or 10 point
list that Kerry was following.... ; I searched here under 'communist agenda' and got over 800 threads!!!
I don't think my body, let alone my eyeballs, would survive reading thru
all of those!

anyone got any ideas of what I can use to search on that would refine
it a bit (a whole lotta 'bit' ) ??? Shocked Shocked

Is it any wonder I spend hours on the intenet and get nowhere???

Stevie, all I can tell you is this. I have a friend who is retired (38 years) TXANG mechanic. He and I talked about the plane that Bush flew and he said that they used to call the thing a flying coffin. He told me that two pilots died during training at Ellington AFB in Houston flying the very plane Bush did. He said that the pilots knew that the plane was inferior in many ways, but it was a really sweet plane to fly. Just probably the most dangerous of all planes the ANG had. The plane was an interceptor, mainly used for runs that would guard against an Soviet air strike. Runs were made from Tx. to Canada and back.
He also told me that the pilots had the respect of all who worked with them because of the dangerousness of the plane itself. A one seater death trap.
I will call him and see if I can find out where to get the records you are wanting.

Stevie check out this link,

http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/history/q0185.shtml

Quote:
Regardless, the F-102 was still far more dangerous to fly than today's combat aircraft. Compared to the F-102's lifetime accident rate of 13.69, today's planes generally average around 4 mishaps per 100,000 hours. For example, compare the F-16 at 4.14, the F-15 at 2.47, the F-117 at 4.07, the S-3 at 2.6, and the F-18 at 4.9. Even the Marine Corps' AV-8B, regarded as the most dangerous aircraft in US service today, has a lifetime accident rate of only 11.44 mishaps per 100,000 flight hours. The F-102 claimed the lives of many pilots, including a number stationed at Ellington during Bush's tenure. Of the 875 F-102A production models that entered service, 259 were lost in accidents that killed 70 Air Force and ANG pilots.

oh wow! you guys are just awesome....

I should be able to narrow in on p 178!

and genrXr - that aerospace site piece is awesome for what I need it!

got a bunch of young liberal females who just called me

that bad word that starts with a F and ing ... and stupid at the end of it.

then, 'silly' and 'blowing hot air'

regarding how dangerous this plane was to fly....

'course, they are good at calling people names.... just not good
at having facts to back up what they say.

their a nasty bunch.... much take lessons from Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy, O'Donnell, etc...

and gee, I just love it when I'm right!!!

thanks!

I will always take time out of my day to give an assist to someone waging battle against our common enemy. Smile

Btw, stick to facts and you will always crush a utopian fantasist who has never picked up a book not authored by Zinn or Chomsky.

and I thank you many times over for your help!

and thanks for the reminder to stick to the facts. that's what I try to do.

And that's why I wanted this info. I knew I'd read it here waaay back
when but my memory failed me on what the plane was called!
searching just 'plane' was ridiculous! Especially with my bad eye sight!
(I'm not good at searching anyway... but, I keep trying. Figure one of
these days, I'll get better at it).

I wanted to be ready for them with the info to back me up....not that
they asked for it. They don't care. Actually, they reminded me of O'Donnell screaming 'liar, liar' on MSNBC!!! LOL!

sometimes it is hard when they are calling you names etc.... ; I try to remember then, that IF THEY HAD ANY FACTS, they wouldn't have to
resort to calling me names! Very Happy Very Happy

Well, I'm off to the pits of hell now....but, I'm 'armed' with facts.
