According to this article, pollster Frank Luntz told Joe Scarborough that Kerry's credibility has been hurt by Swift Boat Veterans ads, especially because "I don't think the viewers at home realize just how important it is [that] they've got Kerry on videotape, they've got Kerry on radio ... you actually hear the accent, communicating what he felt.
"We're in the middle of a war right now, and the American people in general and veterans in particular don't want to hear someone, 35 years ago, basically trashing the troops." ...
Luntz added, "Exactly. And there's one word here that stands out - we did some focus groups in the last few days - and the word is betrayal.
"That's how people feel. The language that he used, the fact that he said what he said back at that time, the veterans feel like they were betrayed." _________________ The traitor will crater! |

This ad is the most powerful because there is no way Kerry can claim anything about it.
Every time I hear it, I think that it needs to run over and over right until the polls close in Hawaii on November 2. |

Gomer Pyle said it best...
"Fool me once shame on you....fool me twice shame on me"!
I think our kids deserve better than to be fooled by kerry. _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way
of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never
surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to
resist.
If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will
make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither
parole nor special favors from the enemy.
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners.
I will give no information or take part in any action which might be
harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will
obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in
every way.
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give
only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering
further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or
written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to
their cause.
I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom,
responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my
country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
Granted Kerry was never a POW but should we hold POW'S to a higher standard? |

Very good but here is a bit shorter variant:
There is one certain means by which I can be sure never to see my country's ruin -- I will die in the last ditch.

Minnie,
Did you see the conditions? Kerry would have to admit that his three purple hearts were undeserved, that he was not in Cambodia at Christmas, come out with the straight story on the Rassman rescue, and apologize.
If he'd caved to the condition, they'd have gotten in his own words admissions to the things they've said he's done. Would have been a major victory and worth stopping the ads.
Not going to happen. Kerry Kamp has already said no.
Swiftees gave him a choice, he made a choice. |

A gutsy move by the Swifties. Not surprising at all because the only ones who have shown any guts, or pride, or honesty, or esprit de corps throughout this campaign are the SBVT.
What a terrific bunch of TRUE AMERICANS. _________________ "We do not need to divide America over who served and how. I have personally always believed that many served in many different ways." John F. Kerry, February, 1992 |

Kerry won't apologize. He rejected the terms of surrender. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

I listened to allot of that speech and also did not hear anything close to a apology, Did I miss something?
What I did hear is that apparently Jfkerry is all veterans best friend there ever, ever was. Yet another Orwellian interlude brought to us by the DNC and Heinz catsup. |
