Here's a quote from the WSJ online column Best of The Web Today, that i read before the debate.

"'Debate Response Team'
Now we know how John Kerry plans to "win" tonight's debate. We received an e-mail this afternoon from Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, on behalf of the DNC's "debate response team." Recipients are urged to help the campaign spin the debate:

• "National and local news organizations will be conducting online polls during and after the debate asking for readers' opinions. Look for online polls at these national news websites, and make sure to vote in every one of them."

• "Immediately after the debate, go online and write a letter to the editor of your local paper. If you feel John Kerry commanded the debate and had a clear plan for fixing the mess in Iraq, put it in your letter. If you feel George Bush dodged tough questions on Iraq and didn't level with voters, put it in your letter."

• "Do you listen to national or local call-in shows on the radio? How about on TV? Call them and let them know what you thought of John Kerry's plan to keep America secure and George Bush's continuing refusal to admit the truth about his record."

"Your actions immediately after the debate tonight can help John Kerry win on November 2," the e-mail says. Do these guys really think such cheerleading is what wins presidential elections?

Mc Awful, and the Dems PLANNED these after debate polls!

Sen. Bob Graham just about spun himself right off of his stool in defense of his boy! LOL!

Kerry missed more than 76% of the open meetings of the Intelligence committee after the first WTC bombings and Hannity has it on good authority that his attendance at the closed door sessions has been even lower.

Graham, "I've always thought he was a contributing member." Nothing about Kerry's attendance, except that Kerry should release his attendance records if he chooses too. Rolling Eyes

How can ANYBODY think Kerry won this debate? Debate or no debate....just look at what he says. He calls this the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time. How in this world can you have confidence in a leader when he doesn't even believe in the cause? THINK ABOUT THAT!! How does that look to the people that want to harm us? WEAK, WEAK, WEAK!!!

Kerry denigrates our allies.....and that is unconscionable! What do you think they will do IF Kerry is elected after hearing what he thinks about them?

HE HAS NO PLAN TO WIN THE PEACE!!! Who is he relying on? France and Germany? They said they won't come in, no matter who is president.

Kerry made me sick. Critical...that is all he could be. He is one pessimistic SOB.

Well, true, but Lieberman is not a lying traitor, therefore, not so dangerous to the country. I'd still vote Bush over Lieberman, but Lieberman as POTUS doesn't scare me the way Kerry does.

N3, if you're referring to that part about the airport and container inspections stuff, I agree. I was horrified to hear him going into that much detail. The point easily could have been made without going into specifics, I mean, why make it easy?

Honestly speaking, Bush won the debate on the substance. Kerry won on the style. NOW, what do American people really want? A guy which had just got manicured and spa but convoluted himself on a issue of life and death, or a guy who looked tired but steady on the principle?

I thought Bush would deliver a kissing death tonight. He could have done it many times with simple lines which did not take even one minute. He could said, "Jim, even after we debated for about one hour, I don't still know what the Senator's position on Iraq. You have asked him many times, but he never answered the question directly. Should we continue the debate until tomorrow to finally get the Senator's position?. On the issue of life and death, we can't afford to have a leader...a leader of a great nation ...a nation which is being attacked by the ideolog killers to change his position anytime he wants and where the wind blows".

Kerry's chance could have been over by tonight. I am little bit upset, but still Bush is winning.

Unbeknownst to Kerry adviser Mike McCurry, a C-SPAN camera quietly followed McCurry as he found Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart on Spin Alley floor and asked him his impression of the debate. Lockhart candidly said to McCurry , “The consensus is it was a draw.”

I think Bush camp made mistake this morning. Bush should have not campaign today. He should have taken a complete rest since last night. Bush looked tired tonight, and that's bad.

Kerry is a pathological liar, but a liar could win unless someone discovers and reveals his lie effectively.

The immediate polling that occurs after a debate always changes - sometimes dramatically - three or four days later.

Hugh Hewitt is already at work on it - and the bloggers are on it.

Tomorrow, Rush will be ALL OVER IT. Every inconsistency, every lie, every obfuscation.

The internet and talk radio will first bring out the dirt and when people understand what's been said, tonight, as opposed to what John Kerry wanted them to THINK he said - well... everything is going to look different. Even 24 hours from now, things will look different.

I listened to it on c-span while I was reading here - I thought the President did a good job, considering the constrictions he is under both from the standpoint of international relations and from the standpoint that he must take the high road.

Let the bloggers and pundits start some real analysis, now. Bet you'll agree that Kerry is a loser in this match before three days are up. Wink
